Sony isn't leading the 3D charge with tv's. Samsung and Mitsubishi are right now. I know Sony will definitely hit that market hard but they aren't leading the way in that department and it still doesn't convince me of the legitimacy of 3D gaming.

I like Sony and they make good product but it'll take more than that to convince me.

The hate for Halo is strong in this comment section.

There's really no point in arguing GOTY this early. Too many great games coming out this year.

Well you'll be happy to know that a sprint mechanic is in via armor upgrades, but I wouldn't count on aiming down the sights. It still needs to be its own game and not every other shooter out there.

I agree with their point of view about 3D. Why jump full on into something that doesn't really have any significant audience? I'm certainly not looking to jump on the 3D tv train. I'll wait and see what becomes of 3D video games first and also wait for 3D tvs that require no glasses to fully hit the market.

I still don't see it being more than a gimmick for at least the next couple of years. (cool for movies but a gimmick for games, just like motion controls)

I was going to say something along those lines too. Everything they mentioned is also mentioned in the scans. Not too many assumptions made really.

A friend who works at Bungie. lol. I, of course, would love that but I'll believe it when I see it.

Not necessarily just 16. All they said was that it would have at least everything Halo 3 had and then they listed some of those things. So it will have at least 16 players. It could be more than 16, we don't know.

Haha that's Wolverfrog's list.

Anyway, things are looking good for Reach and hopefully all the info hitting GIonline all throughout the month will give us further information. Cannot wait for this game. It might be my first midnight release. (I'm not one for standing in line all night)

Oh well. Sh!t happens.

The fact that I can pop a game into my 360 and be playing a matter of minutes makes the installing thing annoying. Even if my 360 games need an update it's still very quick and I'm playing in no time. The difference between the two is quite large in that respect. It's just one of those things that could be improved upon in future Playstations. A minor issue to be sure, but an issue I have none-the-less.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from. Not having to have dealt with the disc scratching problem, I wouldn't know too much about it or the fear involved.

And did I just have a cordial discussion on N4G regarding the two major consoles and their minor weakness and personal qualms? Anything is possible now.

Bubbles to Silvacrest (if he can go up anymore).

That's because all of those things are just personal preferences. There's no legit reason as to why ones better than the other. It's strictly preference.

Oh good lord I agree completely about the D-pad. If the 360 had a d-pad like the PS3's it would be nearly perfect.

And I'll have to look into that solution for the L2 and R2 buttons.

thanks for the link Nineball.

No I'm not exaggerating. The fact that I have to do it is annoying. And about disc swapping, only one game I've played on the 360 had that and that was ODST. Strangely it didn't annoy me as much as the time it took to install some portion of the game on my PS3. I guess it's a personal issue. Still like my PS3.

Oh and I'm not saying swapping discs is a good thing. I don't want all of my games to have that. I just didn't like the installation of every single game.

About the controller, I don't agree. I had a PS2 when they first came out and played it like crazy until the end. I still feel the 360 controller is a superior controller. Not by a lot, but I like it more. I despise the L2 and R2 buttons.

I just got the same thing for Christmas and I agree almost completely with what he wrote. I like the XMB a little better than he did and I like how it connects seamlessly to my PC (easier than my 360, but only by a little). Other than that, I agree completely with him and hope the PS3 keeps those exclusives coming.

I also can't stand the amount of times it takes to play a game for the first time. All the installing and what-not. It annoys me. Not only that, but the downloading se...

I find your comment funny. I think the characters are the biggest improvement while the environments are better than Halo 3, but not as huge of a jump. Halo 3's environments were one of its high points graphically with character faces and animations as its major weakness.

That's not an unfair statement to make. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold millions. Now whether those millions will be happy with their purchase is another story. I'm going to play wait and see depending on the price.

I think Alpha Male's comment summed it up best of all. I have to agree with absolutely everything he said.

I had a pretty good time with the beta, but didn't come off impressed greatly. It's an OK shooter that does one thing better than average and that's the number of players.

If the firmware update on my PS3 allows my tv to do 3D then I might give it a shot. Otherwise, I'm not investing the money to buy a 3D ready tv just for this. Not until 3D without glasses is ironed out.
